"She is a first-generation American. Her parents immigrated from Germany in the 1930s and brought their language and culture with them to the rice fields of southwest Louisiana. The biggest tradition in our family is a traditional German Christmas Eve... She is always impeccably dressed, hair and makeup perfectly done. She loves bold, statement jewelry, so one year I got her a beautifully bold ring from Steward & James. She loved it so much, asked me who the artist was, and wears it in her regular rotation...She is bold and strong with a beautiful balance of quiet confidence and genuine humility...She is so smart and grew up to become lifelong educator.
